I’m so excited that you are interested in Power to the People Storytelling class! We all have stories, and we tell them every day. We call & tell our friends stories, we post stories on social media & we tell stories to our therapists & coaches. However, we don’t necessarily tell stories that are structured & impactful.
Power to the People Storytelling will teach you how to take your everyday tales & random thoughts and mold them into something marvelous! In this class you will learn the basics of writing stories with a clear arc, that will engage the listener and leave them yearning to hear more. I encourage the writing of true, personal stories of all things from trial to triumph & more! We will have fun! We will become good writers! We will leave proud of what we have created!
This 4-week storytelling course culminates with a final reading of your stories. Don’t worry, we will address stage fright as well. Just come write & tell with us & have fun doing it!
No previous writing or formal storytelling experience needed. We will have three 2-hour writing instruction classes, and the final class will be dedicated to reading/performing our work.
